UGL Services launches Capital Markets Services Group

UGL Services has announced the formation of its Capital Markets Services Group, aimed at providing financial analytics support and advisory services for capital markets-related transactions, leasing deals and distressed assets.

CMS is based in Chicago but its parameters are national in scope. The new corporate advisory services line provides financial analytics support across the U.S. to a broad spectrum of industries and complements a platform of transaction and corporate advisory services to the users and occupiers of commercial real estate nationwide and in overseas markets.

CMS will provide capital markets transaction services for acquisitions, dispositions, sales-leaseback, mortgage re-finance workouts, FASB tenant improvement financings and CMBS restructures. In addition, CMS can assist clients with:

  • A full complement of real estate accounting support, lease and portfolio opportunity analysis, and thought leadership;
  • Preserving and enhancing the value of distressed assets;
  • Analyzing financial impacts of multiple scenarios; and
  • Direct client briefings on the status of FASB/IASB accounting rule changes with scheduled discussions on strategic responses.

CMS team members will work out of Chicago, New York and Los Angeles. David Clark, senior vice president, advisory and consulting, will serve as the head of CMS. Clark is based in Chicago. He will be supported by Senior Vice President Ed Wlodarczyk, who will oversee national corporate service transactions and structured capital finance, and Boris Shraybman, director of analytics and execution. Wlodarczyk and Shraybman work out of the Chicago office.

In New York City, Senior Vice President Jeff Donnelley will oversee investment sales with Associate Director Mark Civitillo, who is responsible for providing analysis and execution.

Mario Mexia, executive vice president and managing director, oversees investment sales in the Los Angeles metro area and directs the western region with Matthew Mexia, a CMS vice president in Orange County. Collectively they will focus on the acquisition, disposition and strategic planning of investment real estate and distressed assets. The service line also includes David Otis, associate, who provides analysis and execution in UGL Services’ downtown Los Angeles office.
